I am an experienced portrait and commercial photographer. My large and varied client base has been built purely upon recommendation.

Passionate about photography, I am continually looking to develop and evolve my own style. I am told this love for my work shines through in every image I produce.

For portraiture work my customers can choose to have their pictures taken at a location of their choice, or to come to my studio at my home, in the village of Great Hormead, Hertfordshire. Having developed technique over the years, I now prefer to use a simplistic style, taking out all but the absolute essentials, leaving a clean, uncluttered image. My lighting technique is also based upon the "simple is best" rule, and I use the minimal number of lights to achieve the desired effect. Planning is a vital part of any shoot. Careful thought and consideration goes into every shot.

To make viewing pictures taken during your portrait sitting as easy as possible, all the images are uploaded into a Password Protected area of my website. I then email you a link and Password, which can be distributed by you, to family and friends, at your discretion. You and those you have invited in this way, can then log in and view the images in the comfort of your own homes. You can rest assured that you and only those who you have invited, can access your area and view your images.

I often work on architectural and aviation shoots, using angles and perspective to produce stunning images. Experienced at digital retouching, using state of the art Mac computer hardware and Canon photographic equipment, I use post production techniques to enhance pictures digitally, creating maximum visual impact.
